Color

The official color palette and usage for nyc.gov

Brand colors

nyc.gov has three brand colors: black, white, and blue. As the most neutral high-contrast colors, black and white are used for the majority of our visual design. Blue is reserved for places where a user can take action, such as buttons, pagination, and certain input fields.

Together, these colors contribute to an experience that is easy to read, scan, and understand, while the most actionable elements stand out from their surroundings.
